Beirut City Center is a shopping center strategically located near the eastern gate of Beirut at an important cluster of motorways and principal roads connecting with major hubs and regions. The Project Site is a 2.9 Ha lot, encircled by Damascus Road, Chiyah Boulevard, Camille Chamoun Boulevard, Adlieh Penetrator and the proposed Peripherique Penetrator. The project consists broadly of three levels of commercial space and a fourth level that is conceived as a roof deck fully dedicated for leisure, amusement and catering. Scope:
The Electrical scope of work comprised the design, contract management, construction supervision, testing and commissioning of the following:
Street lighting: including lighting poles spacing, lighting levels (lux) and uniformity calculations, feeder pillars configuration with all related breakers, photocell controllers, earth pits for feeder pillars and lighting poles, and the interconnecting cabling with proper selection of the cables cross-sections and voltage drop calculations to ensure that permissible voltage drop limits are not exceeded.
Utilities infrastructure network: comprising underground concrete-encased duct banks for Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV) and telecom/broadband networks complete with manholes and hand holes in addition to branching to surrounding lots.
Traffic signals: including positioning of various traffic signals heads to suit the different type of intersections and traffic flow with all loop detectors, phasing scheme and traffic controllers.
