Quality Control Engineer
Overview

The Quality Control Engineer is a key member of the Quality Management Unit at SETS international. The jobholder supports the development and enforcement of quality management policies, procedures and tools across SETS. He/she participates in setting quality targets, developing quality audit plans and tracking the execution of audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

What you will do

 Work within the Quality Management Unit on the development and implementation of action plans to maintain the ISO 9001certification in Beirut office.

 Provide assistance in the documentation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System. The QMS shall include mainly the Quality Policies, Objectives, Manual, Procedures, Responsibilities which shall be in compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Support concerned departments to establish quality procedures and achieve overall quality objectives.

 Participate in executing periodic quality audits to check the compliance to quality policies and procedures.

 Identify non-conformances, summarize findings in periodic quality audit reports and recommend corrective and preventive action plans and reports for addressing identified quality non-conformances and preventing recurrence.

 Responsible for ensuring effective implementation of the corrective actions made and maintaining records.

 Aid in dealing with the client’s quality requirements / requests during the proposal preparation phase of a project.

 Participate in the delivery of quality training and awareness sessions for SETS staff and newcomers.

 Assist in promoting a Quality culture in the company and motivating all staff to adopt it.

 Develop and update a database of quality audits and findings.

Skills and Competencies

 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

 3-6 years of direct experience in a quality management function, preferably with a design / engineering consulting company

 Experience with development and enforcement of quality policies, procedures and tools

 Knowledge of Quality certification, compliance requirements and audit programs

 Ability to lead change within an organization

 Strong attention to detail

 Strong communication skills

 Strong organizational skills

 Proficiency in spoken and written English
