Electromechanical & Sustainability Department Director

SETS International is seeking a qualified Department Director for its Electromechanical & Sustainability department. This is a senior leadership role within the firm and the successful candidate is expected to lead the development and expansion of the department and its staff.

The Electromechanical & Sustainability department at SETS provides value-added consulting services to its clients in the capacity of electrical, mechanical, energy and sustainability engineering. The department’s core scope of services includes MEP engineering designs for both buildings - infrastructure projects and energy services.

What you will do
  • Strategic planning and leadership for the department
  • Business development, identification of new service offerings, active and continuous client engagement
  • Provide technical leadership on various consulting assignments
  • Lead the development of proposals, work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for project prospects
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of energy reduction programmes
  • Work across departments to identify opportunities for value-added services for clients
  • Mentorship and career development for staff
  • Engage professional organizations and industry events which enhance the firm’s reputation and market profile
  • Support consistent quality in service delivery to meet or exceed client expectations
  • Enhancement and continuous improvement of the firm’s internal quality procedures and technical competencies
Skills and Competencies
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Management or Energy is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership role
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant energy project experience 
  • 20+ years of progressive experience with international firms in the area of infrastructure and MEP building design services
  • Possession of a valid Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certificate
  • A proven track record of successful business development, and of fostering client relationships
  • PMP and LEED AP certifications are preferred
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
