International Restoration Week – Diriyah, JAX District.
2025-10-01

SETS had the privilege of participating in International Restoration Week in Diriyah’s vibrant JAX District. Organized and hosted by the وزارة الثقافة Ministry of Culture’s Heritage Commission | هيئة التراث, the five-day event was a gathering of stakeholders shaping Saudi Arabia’s built legacy—from public sector leaders and technical experts to architects, contractors, craftspeople, and planners.
SETS experts Ammar Ghazal and Elisabetta Carnevale led a workshop grounded in our ongoing restoration experience in Diriyah, Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla. Their session opened up practical conversations on regional building traditions, the challenges of restoring historic materials, and how collective heritage can inform development across the Kingdom. Their workshop reinforced SETS’ commitment to safeguarding Saudi built heritage with care, diligence, and respect for every story.
Thank you to the Ministry of Culture and the Heritage Commission for creating space where clients, restoration professionals, skilled craftspeople, and passionate citizens could learn, share, and challenge each other as we work to build the future of Saudi restoration together.
