The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) wishes to enhance traffic performance on the road network and junctions in Riyadh to ensure a better level of service for all road users, increase traffic flow, and improve traffic safety.
The project aims to identify, study, and design mitigation measures for 40 critical congestion sites and traffic blackspots, addressing contributing factors related to design elements, system elements, and human behavior.
SETS’ scope of services includes data collection and review of relevant studies, evaluation against international best practices, identification and selection of critical sites, field surveys and assessment of current conditions, development and feasibility evaluation of design solutions, preparation of preliminary and final designs, development of future risk-prevention strategies, prioritization of implementation sites, and preparation of tender documents.
