The Ministry of Culture – Jeddah Historic District (JHD) took charge of the restoration and renovation of Bait AL-Daffe and its annexes to serve as a workshop for the “Royal Institute of Traditional Arts” (RITA).
The complex is planned to enclose three workshop spaces, different types of classrooms, storage space and an exhibition area all in close coordination with the Arts and Crafts consultant for RITA.

As Restoration Consultant, SETS advised on allowable interventions with regards to proper conservation methods, structural capacity and impact of renovation / remodeling scheme on the building, in addition to supervising the execution of the works. Services included:
- Data collection and 3D scanning.
- Program development and space allocation.
- Restoration studies.
- Structural assessment.
- Supervision for the restoration and renovation activities.
