In line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision, the Ministry of Culture launched a program for the rescue and conservation of historic buildings that require immediate interventions and support within Jeddah Historic District.
SETS, in collaboration with ASD, provided the necessary Technical Support & Construction Supervision Services for the rescue and support works related to 20 historic buildings.

SETS’ scope focused on :
- Collection of available maps and data on the Project area and buildings.
- Carrying out a digital scanning of the buildings to produce digital 3-D models of the current buildings conditions.
- Assessment of the current conditions of the buildings to identify deteriorating components.
- Proposing possible intervention methods for the necessary support that respect and adhere to UNESCO guidelines and requirements.
- Supervision on the implementation of the approved intervention works.
