The Avenues – Khobar is a prestigious development in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, located at the northwestern corner of the intersection of King Saud Road and Prince Sultan Road in Khobar City. An open stormwater pond currently exists on the northwest side of this development, used to attenuate stormwater runoff and reduce flood risks. However, due to recent flooding in the area, a more robust solution is required to ensure the safety of the development and surrounding neighborhoods. SETS was commissioned by Shomoul to design and propose a covered underground tank system to handle stormwater attenuation. This project involves delivering detailed designs and ensuring compliance with the relevant authorities and stakeholders to mitigate flooding risks. SETS WES team is responsible for : 1. Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analysis: - Hydrology Study: Evaluate stormwater patterns and flow - Network Integration: Connect the stormwater system with existing networks - Overflow Management: Ensure proper mechanisms for overflow – Environmental Impact Assessment for the sea outfall
