The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) appointed SETS to undertake the planning and design of the Eastern Section of Riyadh’s Third Ring Road, a major transportation corridor aimed at enhancing mobility and supporting the city’s future growth.
The project involved a comprehensive assessment of existing and future travel demand, analysis of traffic congestion challenges, evaluation of road network performance, and identification of practical and sustainable mobility solutions. SETS delivered planning, route selection, traffic assessments, and concept and detailed design services for approximately 70 km of the proposed corridor, contributing to the development of an efficient and resilient transportation network for Riyadh.
SETS’ Electromechanical and Energy team provided the design of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, street and tunnel lighting, tunnel ventilation and fire protection systems, pumping station MEP systems, as well as utility protection and diversion works, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the corridor’s infrastructure.
